Thing 11 7/30/07

I love LibraryThing. From it, I've learned that I should read the following books:

1. When God was a Woman, by Merlin Stone.
2. Themis; a study of the social origins of Greek religion by Jane Ellen Harrison.
3. Neuropolitics : the sociobiology of human metamorphosis by Timothy Leary.
4. Penguin Great Ideas : On The Suffering of the World by Arthur Schopenhauer.

and a bunch of other stuff I've already read.

I'm really starting to like web 2.0. I wonder what web 3.0 will be--holographic, interactive, bio-mechanical-interface, multi-sensory sessions in holo-deck-like structures? Non-local intelligence transfer, over very large distances--anywhere in the memetosphere to anywhere else, instantaneously?

Oh, why should we ever leave our homes again?
